Curriculum and Methods

The curriculum of St. Gregory the Great School is in accordance with the New York State Education policies as well as guidelines from the Department of Catholic Education for the Diocese of Buffalo.

Each grade from Kindergarten through eight has three homerooms. We employ full-time teachers of Art, Computer, Health, Library, Music, Physical Education, Latin and Spanish. We also provide full-time developmental mathematics and reading assistance. Resource room, Reading Specialist and Remediation is also available.

Core curriculum for Grades K-8 include religion, math, science, social studies, reading and language arts. Preparation for the New York State assessments in math, language arts, science and social studies begins in Kindergarten and continues through Grade 8.

Proficiency-level language for Grades 5-8 and Regents credit course in math and science is also available.
