Disciple Camp

For Shepherd and Saints RC Family of Parishes

Disciple Camp (for Grades 5-10) is a high-impact week of Faith Formation that fulfills the instructional component of the Diocese of Buffalo curriculum. Lessons are enriched with music, prayer, speakers, outdoor activities, crafts, and more. Students will grow together as a peer community of faith and then continue service and faith experiences on their own throughout the year.

This program is open only to active parishioners of our Family of Parishes, Shepherd & Saints Roman Catholic Family
(#19: St. Gregory the Great, St. Pius X, and Good Shepherd Parishes), with regular Mass attendance.  

Disciple Camp Dates:  June 29, 30 and July 1-3, 2026 (9:00 am – 4:00 pm)

2023 Disciple Camp

Below are some scenes from 2023 Disciple Camp. The theme was “Run the race so as to win” (1Corinthinans 9:24).  Our DRE, Michael Ruszala led a Praise and Worship session and Lectio Divina meditations on Bible verses.

Thank you to all of our special speakers!

  • Michael Cygan gave a talk on prayer and also led some Praise and Worship sessions.
  • Fr. Joe Tokasz shared his vocation story and led prayers in the Adoration Chapel.
  • Fr. Dan Ulmer gave a Sacristy tour and also showed our students how he prepares for a Mass (vesting). 
  • Kaitlyn Hogg spoke on Our Dignity Before God.
  • Nicole Janecek led a Litany of Saints from a grab bag of saint names written down by Disciple Camp students.

Give it up for Disciple Camp students! They raised a whopping $1270 for the Jamaican Mission! Great job, Disciple Camp!

Thank you to all of our wonderful parishioners for getting their cars cleaned and for donating with such generous hearts!

Disciple Camp students also had a Food Drive for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. Grade 6 brought peanut butter and jelly and Grades 7 and 8 brought boxes of cake mixes. Thank you all for your kindness and generosity!
