Here is an Excerpt from a thank you note:.”...thank you all for your generous donation of jackets, gloves, hats and scarves for our parishioners. We know that these gifts will be gratefully received by all of them. We are very thankful for your kindness. September 2023 Outreach
Thank you to all of the wonderful parishioners from our Family of Parishes!  We collected much needed school supplies for Or Lady of Hope and Catholic Academy. God bless you all for helping with our first joint effort as a Family of Parishes!

November 2023
Thank you to all our families who brought in Ramen Noodle packets! The organizer from Peaceprints came to pick up the decorated bags and the Ramen noodles we collected from the November outreach. She was very happy with what we were able to provide. In fact, if it weren’t for St Greg’s, they may not have been able to distribute Ramen noodles this year! So, thank you all for your kind generosity...

ISAIAH 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, …  to comfort all who mourn and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. Thank you for showing God's mercy to those in need. God bless you!

February 2023
A Special Thank you from St. Vincent de Paul:
Thank you for the tremendous support of the Society of St Vincent de Paul food pantry and the other panties we help support in metro Buffalo. We had a very successful Heart-to-Heart Food Drive this weekend, our shelves are restocked, and we have donations to share with our fellow SVdP and Catholic social organization parties. The student volunteers from public and private high and middle schools, and our St Gregory the Great School were a big help in collecting donations and bringing them to the white house pantry. - Tim Spellman - St Gregory the Great, SVdP

Christmas Gift Collection

To our wonderful Parishioners,

We can’t tell you how much your very generous donations to the Christmas Gift Collection helped the needy; so we wanted to share with you, an excerpt from just one of the thank you notes that came in…

“On behalf of the students and families of Catholic Academy of West Buffalo, we would like to extend to you our sincerest thanks for your donation of Christmas Gift Cards. The students were thrilled to receive them, but an even deeper sense of wonder and gratitude and blessing was experienced by their parents and guardians. Your offering of love and kindness this Christmas was a warm reminder to our CAWB community that we are all one family….thank you for your generous donations...our school children will remember you in their prayers, and will ask the Lord to bless you through the New Year.”

-Sr. Gail Glenn, Principal CAWB

June 2022
The High School Summer Program took place from June 27 - 30. Our FFF students had a collection for Sleep In Heavenly Peace, a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need locally.  Their tag line is, “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town“.  Our FFF students and their families generously donated 25 twin sheet sets, 9 mattress covers, 12 pillows and 12 comforters!! Great job and thank you all for your generosity!

July 2021 Disciple Camp students had a modified car wash this past summer to benefit the Doktor Family Mission.

2021 Drive By Baby Shower: Thank you to all the families who generously donated to our Drive By Baby Shower that benefitted the St. Gianna Molla Pregnancy Care Outreach Center. A very special thanks to Megan Looney for prompting us to have this special collection. Not only did we collect diapers, onesies and baby supplies, but we also received $390 in check donations! Thanks to Cubby Weil and Nina Kurdzdorfer who volunteered to help out that day, to John Looney, Dr. Susan Wright and Mary Pesarcheck for delivering donations to St. Gianna Molla, and to Clare Stark for assembling our shower favors (bottom right)! We are so humbled by everyone's generosity- God bless you all.

February 2021: Thank you to all of you who dropped off food for the Heart-to-Heart Food Drive! A special note of thanks from St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry...SVdP Food Pantry is Full! - Thank you to the SGG Family Faith Formation families and staff, and to our parish community for generously supporting the St. Vincent de Paul Society food pantry during the recent Heart-2-Heart Food Drive. Your donations of food and gift cards will be used to help the needy in Amherst and the greater Buffalo area. As you can see from the attached photo - our shelves are fully re-stocked and additional food and gift cards will be delivered to the SVdP downtown dining room and other food pantries in the area. 2020 Disciple Camp Modified Car Wash: Thank you to all of the Disciple Camp kids who participated in our Modified Car Wash, which benefited the Doktor Family Mission! Due to COVID restrictions, we couldn't have our annual Disciple Camp Car Wash. Instead, DC students washed their family cars at home and raised over $700 for the Doktor Family Mission! THANK YOU to all of the Disciple Camp families who participated-a job well done!!

A Thank you note from the Doktor Family....We just noticed that you sent in another donation to the mission last month and want to express our most heartfelt appreciation!  We do try to keep up with what's happening at St. Gregs but didn't realize you all were still having a car wash* this year, so we were completely surprised!  Thank you, thank you!

Things are going well here in Taiwan!  As we think about this first year, we are so thankful to the Lord for the progress we've made around enculturation, language acquisition and building relationships.  He is so good!  And we are so thankful for our mission partners like Family Faith Formation who have made it possible to bless people in the community in many ways, especially the folks at the orphanage.  Right now we're starting to prepare for Christmas.  Kelly and I were invited to do a talk on the "true meaning of Christmas" for the kids at a local school and anticipate needing around 200 gift bags which will include a number of religious items including a book that tells the story of the birth of Christ both in English and Chinese.  We will also be preparing around 120 gifts for the residents at a local orphanage, so the car wash donation will be put to good use!  We think of you often and have you in our daily prayers.  God bless you and thank you all for your support of the mission here in Taiwan! Matt and Kelly Doktor

July 2020
Making Lemonade out of Lemons:
Having online (vs. in person) classes put a damper on the annual Disciple Camp Food Drive that benefits the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. DC Students got creative and found a fun way to raise money and collect canned goods by having a Lemonade Stand! Pictured below, left to right: Garrett Durnford, Owen Goral and Cameron Durnford were able to not only collect 40 cans but also raise $110 for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry! Neighbors and passersby were so happy to stop by to donate! Their prices: For a glass of lemonade, you could pay 50 cents OR donate one canned good; for a glass of lemonade with a cookie- you could pay $1 or donate 2 cans. Wonderful job, boys!

2018 Disciple Camp Students collected non-perishable goods for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry.

2017 Christmas Gift Collection

Since the beginning of this ministry in December of 1975, about 1300 people in need have been helped every year, and last year was no different– the Christmas Tree Collection brought over 3000 gifts to warm the hearts of so many in need!

Thank you for your generosity and May God Bless you!

be open to the future, spread love.

Be poor among the poor.
We need to include the excluded and preach peace."
