Join us for three nights of reflection, "Crying Out to God When It Hurts: The Psalms as Journey from Grief to Gratitude", by Dr. John Bergsma. Dr. Bergsma is a Professor of Theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. A former Protestant pastor, Dr. Bergsma entered the Catholic Church in 2001 while getting his Ph.D. in Bible from the University of Notre Dame. A close collaborator of Dr. Scott Hahn, Bergsma speaks regularly on Catholic Radio and at conferences and parishes nationally and internationally.  He has authored seven books on Scripture and the Catholic faith, including Bible Basics for Catholics (Ave Maria Press), Stunned by Scripture: How the Bible Made Me Catholic (Our Sunday Visitor), and A Catholic Introduction to the Bible: Old Testament (with Brant Pitre; Ignatius Press).  Dr. Bergsma's talks and studies are available on CD and mp3 from catholicproductions.com.  He and his wife Dawn reside with their eight children in Steubenville, Ohio.


We are offering an adult disciple formation series called Symbolon. We will gather to learn through short DVD presentations, live exhortations, question-and-answer interactions and small-group discussions. The series will run for six continuous weeks on Thursdays, immediately following the noon Mass, in Gathering Room 2. If you want to see more about the material we'll cover, go to www.symbolon.org. Join Fr. Leon as he shares pictures, Scriptures and experiences of his recent Holy Land trip, Friday, March 6 and Friday, March 13, after the noon Mass in Gathering Room 1, and Thursday, March 12 and Thursday, March 19, at 7:00 pm in the Church.


Our parish will co-sponsor the popular Lenten Speaker Series again this year. Mark your calendar for 7:30 pm. on five Mondays beginning March 2. You'll hear some of the best speakers in the diocese talk on Divine Mercy. Each evening a speaker will explore several different aspects of Divine Mercy to enrich our understanding, prayer experience and daily life.
